Ear Posting 101
Introduction
Posting your puppy’s can be very easy when done correctly! Sometimes after ear cropping the ears will stand up straight right after they heal. Even though this is the best case scenario it doesn’t hurt to go the extra mile just to make sure the final shape looks as best as possible. If their ears are folded downwards or laying flat on top of their head then posting is the best and most effective solution.
I have posted many cropped ears and through out the years I have learned the best methods and styles for all different types of scenarios.
In the future I will add ear posting kits in our store so this process becomes much easier and more efficient for you!

The post and tape method is the best way to post ears in my opinion. It’s the most difficult to learn because of the various steps, supplies, and technique of wrapping. This method should only be used once the ears are fully healed and stiches are removed.

The mole foam and glue method is my second favorite method. The main reason I use this method is if the ear still needs to heal and still contains stiches. This method does not interfere with the healing of the ear and provides support as early as possible allowing for the best results in the early stage. The only reason this is not my number one method is because it lacks the sturdiness of a solid post, but i’ve successfully posted ears only using this method many times.

This method is the cheapest, simplest, and easiest for people to learn but I don’t recommend as a primary method of posting. This should only be done after the ears are already standing up but need some help straitening out or to let the ears air out/take a rest from the primary method such as the post and tape.
